Food aside, we had a long talk, sharing happenings in the past week and new people we met.. It was then i realise i've been in this circle of mine for so long. Somehow, i want to thank my dad for bringing me out of this circle, and showed me that there are ovals and squares out there. Not something that could replace my circle, but instead, compliment it and add some excitement to my life.
I used to think that, circles and squares do not mix. In fact, geometrically they don't. You can fit a square in a circle, or the other way round, but they will not be able to fill each other out completely.
However, artists have a way of manipulating your minds and tricking you into thinking that circles and squares are meant for each other. But, that's not my point. My point is... circles and squares do not really need to fit each other perfectly. They just need to tolerate each other and not throw a fit when they cannot fill in the corners and sides.
Just like in a relationship. It doesn't matter what shape that you find. It doesn't matter if they do not fit you the way you wanted them to be. What matters is still, you both agree that the spaces not filled are not really that important anyway. So what if they are not filled. It brings out even more of the beauty of the relationship.
Today i learnt that, sometimes you just have to forgive yourself, before you try to forgive people. If you can't climb over that wall of yours, how are you suppose to see clearly what is happening on the other side?
